Learn to Swim Taz

Having been born into a swimming family my life naturally took this course. I set a goal to qualify for senior nationals and achieved this goal at 16 for open water swimming and again at 17 for butterfly. I was an active nipper and in grade 10 qualified as a senior lifeguard.

 After school I au paired in America, which included much travel as well as attending the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. On my return home I took up an apprenticeship with my mother, V Skinner, in her swim school. I did my learn-to-swim certificate with Swimming South Africa in January 2010.

When I turned 21 I took over V’s Swim School, which allowed me to follow my two passions, swimming and children.

V’s Swim School now operates at E.L. Virgin Active, Beacon Bay Vigin Active, Boost Gym in Gonubie, Merrifeld School and Nahoon Laerskool. As well as school swimming at Hudson Park Primary, Merrifield School and Nahoon Laerskool.

We work with children from age three, teenagers with no swimming experience, adult learn-to-swim and stroke correction.
